Orange County Schools Ancient National Parent Advisory Board
Orange County Schools took an active part in the devel-oping quality programs for several their members of the diverse student population. One plan that has been produced is aimed at aiding student performance and improving educational opportunities for students of Native American heritage. In order to better achieve these aims the Orange County Schools Native American Parent Advisory Committee is made. The Native American Parent Advisory Committee acts under Title VII federal recommendations. It"s composed of two non-elected positions and seven members; six elected members. The elected positions of President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Teacher Representative, and Student Representative are elected at the start of every school year and a nominated by parents of Orange County Schools. The non-elected jobs currently are Bob Eslick Manager, Title VII-Native American Program and Oryden Gould, Title VII Community Liaison/Secretary, who is of Cherokee good. The program is supposed to guide Indigenous American students in getting high marks in language arts, reading, and mathematics. I-t fulfills this goal: by providing services in helping Native American students to meet Orange County Schools efficiency standards; by ensuring that Native American students participate in their school"s Federal, State and local plans as considered necessary; by providing recruiting activities and family liaison services to meet the culturally relevant academic needs of Native American students; and by providing professional development opportunities to ensure that staff are precisely educated and ready to do work with Native American students.

Every year the Indigenous American Parent Advisory Board recognizes graduating seniors from Orange County Schools.
