We are all unique, in that, our inherited traits will cause our genes to react in different ways to our environments. For example, some of us may be allergic to certain medications, while some of us will not have that reaction to the same drug. We each have nutritional needs that are unique and while someone may have a calcium deficiency, someone else will not, all because of our genes.

Many choose to take vitamins and supplements, as well as take part in regular physical exercise. Every day, free radicals (caused by cells naturally or by environmental factors) form and attack our cells. Antioxidants are necessary to fight these free radicals and slow down the aging process. Again, most of us resort to taking vitamins and supplements, that contain antioxidants, or eating foods rich in antioxidants, to combat this attack.
