Effervescent tablets are tablets when added in water release carbon dioxide. They are products that compress the components in the form of powder into compact lumps. They dissolved rapidly in water due to the chemical reaction which takes place between alkali bicarbonate and citric acid or tartaric acid or combination of both. Therefore, these tablets should be protected from atmospheric moisture during storage, it should be packed in a blister package or a sealed desiccant in a bottle cap and put into the desiccant.
