As you can imagine, when each throw of your skill is POE Orbs bouncing around and hitting around 11 distinct enemies, then the DPS can accumulate fairly quickly. Remember that the DPS reflected in the tooltip isn't telling you the entire story (as is frequently the case with most tooltip DPS, on most skills, in most Path of Exile games). The tooltip DPS is for each individual enemy strike, so you would need to multiply the tooltip number by yet many enemies you're hitting at once with the capability in order to get a more accurate read on your DPS.
Shock raises an enemies damage taken by up to 50 percent for an quantity of time based on the total amount of lightning damage dealt with the Path of Exile player. The Arc ability supplies an inherent 10 percent chance to shock any enemies struck by it.
The Arc Witch doesn't have to be a very crit-heavy build. Instead, simply carry enough crit to lead to fairly ordinary Elemental Overload procs. Elemental Overload gives the Path of Exile player a 40% increase to damage dealt on the condition that you've landed a critical hit in the past eight seconds. Thus, all you need is sufficient crit opportunity to land a minumum of one crit every eight minutes and you'd have pretty much continuous Elemental Overload.
No matter how good your construct is, you won't get very far in PoE if you are too easy to kill. Consequently, you need to ensure that your character has poe reddit lots of defense. This is not as true of this Arc Witch. Block is a fantastic way to boost your defense, as it provides as much as a 75% chance to totally eliminate spells and attacks.
