Hydroxypropyl-gamma-cyclodextrin 128446-34-4 is a gamma cyclodextrin that is a derivative of an 8-membered sugar ring molecule. It can crosslink to form longer polymers. This overall is a very useful chemical for supramolecular chemistry.
It is also used in the solubilization of macromolecules and in cell culture applications. It is similar to beta-Cyclodextrin, but it can work with larger molecules. http://www.cydextrins.com
