Orange County Schools Indigenous National Parent Advisory Committee
Orange County Schools took an active role in the devel-oping quality programs for all their members of these diverse student population. One plan that has been produced is aimed at supporting student performance and improving educational opportunities for students of Native American history. So that you can better achieve these aims the Orange County Schools Native American Parent Advisory Committee is made. The Native American Parent Advisory Board functions under Title VII federal guidelines. It is consists of ten members; six elected members and two non-elected positions. The positions of President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Teacher Representative, and Student Representative are elected at the start of every school year and a selected by parents of Orange County Schools. The non-elected jobs currently are Frank Eslick Planner, Subject VII-Native American Pro-gram and Oryden Gould, Concept VII Group Liaison/Secretary, who"s of Cherokee reasonable. Annually the Indigenous American Parent Advisory Board recognizes graduating seniors from Orange County Schools. The function includes contributions, speakers, products, community support and a Native American party display. A brand new sponsor with this years system is the L.A. Dodgers baseball team. Senior Recognition Night honors these students of Indigenous American history who"ve worked to excel in academic achievement with-in Orange County Schools.
