The main purpose of backing up your Quicken data is preserving your financial information such as reports, accounts, passwords and attachments. This procedure is used to keep your records safe in case of your workstation failure or transfer your data from one system to another. If you want to sort out any Quicken data issues, contact Quicken Support Number for expert guidance.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that the Quicken backup file has an extension.QDF-Backup or quicken.backup in Mac while Quicken data file has the extension.QDF. Find out how to troubleshoot the issue below:

  • When you restore and click on a backup file only to find the file is empty, chances are you could have opened the wrong file.
  • If you want to transfer a backup file from Quicken for Mac to Quicken for Windows or vice-versa, please try restoring the backup file in the original program and converting it into a new one.
  • As you restore a data file, a dialog box may ask you for a data file password.
