Espresso is a copied word from Italian stating to coffee prepared by forcing steam or hot water through finely ground coffee. This method is fast, contains "pressing" water complete coffee, and the word is very handy to the English word "express," which shares those senses. Thus, it is not rare, nor wrong, to hear this brew mentioned to as espresso.
