A radio-controlled,battery-powered independent shuttle unit travels along rails that support pallets above. The shuttle travels below the pallet ,then elevates a pick-up table that lifts the pallet from the support rails and carries it to the front of a rack. From the front of the rack a conventional forklift truck can select operates in the reverse sequence .Normally ,one truck services each shuttle, but this depends on the lane length, number of lanes, height and so no.This type of installation suits a low SKU count, where long-term storage is required.Typical average usage is 80 per cent
-Very dense storage
-First in, last out (FILO or last in ,first out LIFO)
-Excellent for long-term storage http://www.eydarack.com
