I believe based on your remark that we are likely to Madden 21 coins fundamentally disagree on idealism vs. realism, and that is fine. I find myself usually at the middle of realism and idealism because I know the way the world works but I want a better world; you don't have to pick one or another. I really don't understand why we have to give corporations a pass simply because they aren't people (that Citizens United would disagree with but that is another discussion.) We shouldn't just accept the best we're given by a business, we should expect the best we want out of them. Companies are made of humans calling the shots and you will find an infinite amount of examples of companies that make massive profits and endure for good causes. Patagonia is an excellent example. They don't need to make sustainable goods and supply repair and reuse programs to go against fast fashion, but they do and they earn a lot of money .

This instance doesn't include the numerous gray topics where opinions have a location; this is actually a discussion of if you need black people to have rights or not. It is not courageous of a business to say that black people deserve rights just because they will lose white supremacist clients. It actually IS very simple for a company to set out a statement of belief similar to this, as we have seen from each of the businesses doing so right now like Amazon and the NFL. I really don't understand how it's hard for a multi-million dollar company to give up a tiny fraction of the profits for the greater good. If people who don't like Black Lives Issue constitute a majority of a company's customerbase, then maybe they should not have those profits (not asserting EA's playerbase in against BLM, this really is a hyperbolized example)

Why don't you support them in doing both? Because we have not seen them doing . Back your words up. Sony managed things better than EA by not only having a statement, but going after All Lives Matter fans in remarks, fitting donations by some employees, claiming they'll have more in the coming week, also supposedly forming a studio in San Diego headed by POC developers. They could have either held the announcement until they had something to reveal told us exactly what they're going. At the end of the day if you refuse to acknowledge when a company creates a small step you appreciate then how do they ever learn how to make a large step you love?

Are you currently treating a business such as how a parent speaks about a child? I genuinely do not know why it's our obligation to baby companies into having empathy. Why is it that they have to"know" to do good for humankind, why can't they just do it? It is just like white people putting the responsibility on black folks to educate them to not be displaced when there's lots of resources available on how to perform it.

That said, I do want to say I apologize if any of my remark comes off as hostile or assaulting to you. I value this dialogue a lot even if I think at the end of it we will still disagree. I'd say most sensible men and women fall somewhere between realism and idealism. It simply seems like you and I disagree about the value of words. I hope that I am not creating a strawman from your argument once I say you see very little value in making a statement with nothing to back this up. Whereas when a huge company makes an official statement I think that carries a reasonable bit of buy Mut 21 coins weight even if they don't do anything else.
