While killing a single pirate in EVE Echoes Items may not have overarching consequences into the fantastic Empires of New Eden, the fact that in any time a brand new event might be stumbled upon accidentally, or a piece of cargo could begin a rabbit hole that leads to a new danger -- the fact that at any given instant something that you socialize with may have impacts years down the line creates every interaction at EVE Online more meaningful.

It seems like a single player in EVE Online has nabbed over $60,000 worth of things.

Going by the name Sulley, this wasn't some effortless work. According to PC Gamer, Sulley spent a complete month coordinating a"marauding marathon" which included the destruction of 32 player-owned channels. These channels had been nested in Hisec. Many of these stations had several items of value, as is to be expected. However, it appears that on June 2, Sulley and crew hit the jackpot in a Raitaru station. This channel was possessed by players known as Future Tech Industries. Apparently, that led the crew into a historical loot of 4 trillion ISK values in things. This converts to about $60,000.

This type of raid was possible because of some recent developments made to EVE Online by developer CCP with respect to the mechanics of player-built distance stations. Hats off to Sulley and crew.In case you missed it, CCP declared two particular in-game events kicking off on June 9, known as Gathering Storm and Lightning Strikes. You can read up on the particulars of the events .
