All right, I've been working toward the quest cape for around 2.5 years now and I always get told they're really easy to get. Much easier and faster than many, or even all 99 skills, based upon the individual telling me. I got told that today, and RuneScape gold I was quite tired, so I decided to do some calculations. Just adding up the good skill requirements which you want, in regards to 11,492,440 experience. That's just equal of below level 98 in any 1 skill. But wait a moment, there is a level 85 combat requirement as well. The ability requirements only say 40 assault, 65 defense, 69 strength, 55 prayer, 75 magical, 75 ranged, and 41 summoning. Add it up using all the default 10 hp, and it just comes out to level 66.9. That brings the entire minimum xp into 12,030,092.
But wait, there is more. To be reasonable, if you have 65 protection and 69 strength and 75 ranged, you're likely going to have absolutely no less than 65 attack and 70-75 hp (depending on how you train). That is still just level 89, and you're going to have a real tough time getting the pursuit cape at that level.
Recall that a 99 in almost any skill is 13,034,431 xp. I contend that the coaching for a quest cape is as hard as most 99's. Quite a bit tougher even, if you consider that the majority of that training is in the lower levels. Compare it to instruction to 99 range in f2p. It is much, much harder to get 13M xp without the benefits of items that open up in higher levels that member skillers so frequently take for granted.
But wait, coaching is not everything that you have to do to get a quest cape, is it? No, you need to really do the quests! Let us perform a rough estimate a second. There are 159 quests, they likely take an average of an hour each if using a manual (they do to me anyway). Even if you're a diehard RuneScape participant and play 4 hours a day 7 days a week, it will still take you 5 weeks and 5 days to finish all of them. Now assume an average of 10 minutes between Best OSRS Gold site each person to get ready for the pursuit, that bumps it up to 6 weeks and 5 days. Just doing the quests after you have all the training done takes longer than fletching or cooking! That really makes it seem shorter than it really is. If you are more like me, and play about 7 hours each week, it's going take 26 weeks and 4 days, or about 5.5 weeks.
