Gordon Kimber, 84, of San wholesale halloween costumes Ramon, Calif., Professor Emeritus, died Sunday, April 9, 2017, after a long illness.

Services Halloween Costumes Outlet were held earlier this year.

He was born July 21, 1932 in Manchester, England, son of the late Charles Arthur and Annie Kimber and older brother Robert. He received a PhD from Manchester University and a D.Sc. from London University. He moved from Cambridge, England to Columbia in 1967 to join the faculty of the University of Missouri-Columbia (UMC), at the invitation of Professor Ernie Sears, a leading Wheat Cytogeneticist.

Gordon was a Wheat Cytogeneticist, uyiyigdsfdsg known worldwide for his study of the evolution of wheat, with a focus on the transfer of disease resistant genes from the wild relatives of wheat into domestic wheat. His work enabled the efficient utilization of the genes of wild relatives of wheat for improvement of domesticated wheat. Gordon traveled the world to lecture, organize and attend conferences and went on plant collecting expeditions to collect wild wheat and its relatives.

For his tenure at UMC he was an active member of Faculty Counsel. Upon retirement, he became involved in city, county and state politics. A Renaissance Man, he was accomplished in many ways: a photographer, aviator, fine craftsman of wood and jewelry.

A beloved family man, he is survived by Yvonne, his wife of 59 years; daughter, Sara Kimber; son-in-law, John Sroka; granddaughter, Helen Kimber; and step-daughter, Caroline Schofield.
