After a number of hours of Phantasy Star Online 2, here's my review. The Graphics is quite outdated, it seem like a 2000s game (maybe because it is kinda is). Menu is super confusing, even though I have play the JP version, I get lost a few in things and PSO2 Meseta all of the menu. Doing quest for Dan (the older guy in buying place ) help a lot because I get to explore all kind of choice in the menus. The narrative is TRASH, this is but the narrative is cliche and simple. Perhaps the few last narrative arc may get better, but following chapter 4, it is like a anime plot. Issues in NA variant, the Microsoft store is so bad. After I tried to play Sea Of Theives on it 2-3 decades ago I know, but they have not change a bit. Wish they include a steam variation.
Having said the above all, I enjoy the gameplay of PSO2, and having a tons of fun using it, below are some of it's best stuff. The classes are enjoyable, on JP version I play with ranger and it's already fairly fun (it is a fairly straightforward course, you just shoot pewpew, but it has some very cool moves), however on NA I attempt Bouncer out, and the Jet boot is super fun to play, it's fluid, it's satisfying and it require skills.
The missions are dynamic, and it's invovle player on the field. You are able to rush from beginning to the boss in a degree if you would like to, but you can also stick around and get random events on the maps, it is going to activate everyone on the field and you earn great rewards when working together. The assignments is short, enjoyable and rewarding, so that it keep me sidetrack out of my quest, although I must mention I remain in those area for way too long. Events and content: Phantasy Star Online 2 comes with the number of quests, client orders an insane amount of content, and action you can perform really overwhelming. At first it's just like some quest at a time, but I have many quest to do that I have to discard some of my present quest to accept one that is new.
If you aren't careful, also don't go into the casino, you will stuck there for days. There is also tons of stuff to earn, it's like dozens of different money in Phantasy Star Online 2, which unlocked by performing occasion or quest missions. The level of customizations: you can really min-maxing and construct for your playstyle (Mag, skill tree, subclass...). The quantity of cosmetics also. This may be contentious, but I think it's F2P done right: you purchase advantage (storage area ) and makeup, which can be non-intrusive and fair, but that's only me, I like lots of F2P game, and I am already knowledgeable about the strategies from cheap Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta these F2P game. Still pretty hype for BP, but for today PSO2 will tie me down for a while for MMO game.
