What is coolmax's Chinese name?

Coolmax is the trademark of the moisture-absorbing and sweat-wicking fiber of DuPont Company in the United States. Now this moisture-absorbing and sweat-wicking fiber has been produced in China, but the trade names are different. For example, there is a kind of fiber called Kupai in China, which is also, of course, literally translated as ultra-fast and dry.

Matters needing attention in purchasing coolmax fabric?

In CoolMax official website, it can be seen that CoolMax fabrics have been subdivided into 9 categories, ranging from daily to professional sports, covering various functions from refreshing, sun protection to warmth preservation. Although 100% CoolMax fabric has the strongest quick-drying function, its comfort and durability are worse. Therefore, clothes made of CoolMax are usually mixed with other fabrics, such as pure cotton for skin-friendly comfort, wool for warmth retention, nylon for tensile strength and lycra for elasticity.

When buying CoolMax products, it is necessary to pay attention to the content of CoolMax. The content is 10% and 50%. Naturally, the price difference is quite large. However, no matter which CoolMax you buy, the product will bear the CoolMax logo.

How to maintain coolmax fabric?

(1) Because Coolmax fabric has a special surface groove structure, it is helpful to suck pulp, but it also brings some difficulties to desizing. In particular, it is required that there should be no residual pulp in the groove, otherwise it will affect the moisture conductivity of the yarn.

(2) the fabric setting temperature should not be too high, generally controlled at 185-190℃.

(3) The dyeing temperature should be controlled at 120℃, which should not be too high. Excessive dyeing temperature will cause deformation, expansion and distortion of the porous channels in the fiber structure. After cooling, the shape will be fixed and the porous channels will be blocked, thus affecting the moisture permeability of the fabric.

(4)Coolmax fiber as modified polyester fiber can be dyed with disperse dyes.
