The remake of the film sounds promising in that Dan Bradley who has a number of action films to his credits will be directing, but the script while it promises to follow the original story line has some flaws. This time around the Chinese are the invaders though the Russians will be joining the fight at some point. The reason for the war isn't because of bold communist aggression, but rather because America supports Taiwan and China's need for oil, so this is all some how the fault of the United States.
