A favorite typical breakfast consists of Blood Sugar GS-85 Review  pancakes, sausage, eggs and even hash browns. In fact, some fast-food chains feature this as a primary meal package. But consider the fact a diabetic is receiving almost two days worth of their recommended carb load in only one sitting. A better way to go would be plain oatmeal (not pre-packaged portions out of a box) mixed with some fresh fruit. If you are a fan of eggs, you can go with egg whites with some fat-free cheese for added flavor. Skim milk will give you a beverage loaded with protein and also avoid much of the fat of regular milk.

We tend to want to take the easy way out for lunch and/or dinner and hit a drive-through. But what do you usually get from drive-throughs? The most common meals are either hamburgers, cheeseburgers or fried chicken meals. The burgers are often topped with insane amounts of condiments, cheese and bacon... and are accompanied by French fires cooked in rancid oil and saturated with salt. The chicken usually has mashed potatoes, floured gravy and a biscuit.

If you are in the mood for white meat, try roasted chicken instead. If you really want to take it to a healthier level, pull off and discard the skin, which is the source of much of the fat and calories of the meat. While most people wouldn't think twice about loading the chicken down with mashed potatoes, your better choice would be steamed vegetables. Sweet potatoes, green beans, carrots, broccoli and other healthy choices are a good accompaniment for this meal. Afraid the vegetables will be lacking taste? Spruce them up with flavored sprinkle butter substitutes which are high in taste and low in calories.
