Strength training is great for all men and women who want to burn fat fast. Each pound of muscle burns 50 calories a day even at rest (compare that to the 2 calories a day that a pound of fat burns.) This means, in short, that adding muscle to your body will boost your metabolism and make it much easier for your body to burn fat. Do not worry about becoming "overly muscular." It doesn't really work like that. Simply slow down or stop your strength training if you feel you are becoming "overly muscular." Do not use that as an excuse not to strength train.

Cardio. The best cardio exercise you can choose is that which you most like to do? Why is that? Because cardio only works if you actually do it! Don't worry about necessarily burning the most calories per hour. Do cardio exercises that you enjoy enough to stick with. They are a great way of burning calories and boosting your metabolism.
