Low Intensity Training Another type of workout that is commonly guilty of burning muscle as opposed to fat is working out at low intensity levels but for extremely long durations. Walking an hour a day will yield steady body fat loss, but walking three hours a day will also include significant muscle loss. So, watching your exercise duration is critically important as well if body fat loss is your goal.
