Personally I'm all in for this trade-off but I could only see RuneScape gold reddit complaining in 6 weeks or next RuneFest or whatever and faster-ticks becoming the newest bank-rework meme.As someone who quit playing RS but still plays OSRS as well as other hot MMOs I can not stress enough how significant the faster tick rate is for your own game. The responsiveness of the sport as well as the UI would be the biggest reasons I refuse to play it with actions pub style combat. There's no other"better" update. Responsive gameplay makes great games people are willing to spend money on.

Given that the tick change is a huge project at the reach of the full game, has got the idea come up to alter it for parts of the runescape game in isolation that would profit from it the most, for example battle? I'm sure that's also quite an endeavour to execute, but it would enable slow rollout and an easier time analyzing server stress. Each region of the runescape game divided by altering the tick could be looked at one at a time rather than all at once, with decreasing returns on which activities benefit in the responsiveness. Obviously it's still a big job even then given that encouraging only battle to start would also probably require supporting movement and some other heavily-tied systems even if a good alternative for making this incremental is discovered.

As for me, I believe that is the best thought Jagex have experienced a very long time. Sure it's taking a page from games like Route of Exile, but that really is a fresh way for both new and returning runescape players to approach the runescape game. Also, but the fact that leagues only last a limited amount of time makes it great for promoting the runescape game on platforms like YouTube and twitch. Hopefully these leagues may even help bring out some more updates to places like Zeah, which are notorious for being too big without enough content (though they've expanded on it quite nicely since Kebos).

It is PERFECTLY fine if they take pages out of great features from other games using an OSRS spin. Personally, Im quite eager to play this and that I dont actually care about the benefits! This is the sort of game style I didnt know I wanted but now I can not wait!! I got back to osrs once I watched swampletics at episode 3. I've seen a number of people say similar things in comments with this subreddit too. I see this as jagex trying to make that experience for the average runescape player with a good quality of life and extra goals which is a fantastic thing imo.

It would be amazing to see some speedrunning classes included later on however, such as fastest to finish a solo raid, fastest to hit certain overall levels or skill goals, or even pursuit runs, all predicated on time logged in like King of the ability has been. Speedrunning categories could work amazingly for osrs with some tweaked fall rates to remove a number of the major rng issues inherent to speedrunning material on osrs.Has there wasn't some discussion of this buy gold runescape mobile type of material for prospective leagues?
