Here are some of the causes of sinus pain: sinusitis, chronic  Erase My Back Pain Review or acute, frontal or maxillary sinusitis (involves your maxillary sinuses), ethmoidal sinusitis (involves your ethmoid sinuses), cocaine abuse, Eustachian tube dysfunction, atrophic rhinitis, allergic rhinitis due to many allergens including dust mites, pet hair and mold - which is the most common sinus infection cause, a broken nose - nasal bone fracture and ethmoidal bone fracture (in your ethmoidal cavities).

Also other causes include malignancy, sinus cancer, juvenile nasal angiofibroma, nasal polyps, deviated nasal septum, rhinophyma, anterior ethmoidal nerve neuralgia (in your ethmoidal cavities) or upper respiratory tract infection or other respiratory problem. These are just a few of the causes of pain in the sinus cavities, of which you have four sets of two cavities in your skull. Some are common and some are rare.

If you're having a one-time sinus pain episode it's more than likely simple acute sinusitis or the beginning of an infection. If the sinus pain is chronic and you're suffering over and over again make sure to see your doctor and have it evaluated. More than likely you're not going to have some of the more serious or rare causes of sinus pain. Sinus headaches are common and you can cure a sinus headache or pain yourself.
