If GMS is so empty would not it be a good idea to Maple M Mesos lift the IP ban into other areas? I reside in a region banned from GMS and from my experience many folks I do party quest with are from areas banned from GMS. Problem is we will need to use proxys and other stuff to be able to playwith, which provides us lag. In my opinion it's OK but many people are bothered by this and some doesn't even play the game anymore due to the lag.
Maplestory was great in the past because there was a neighborhood, there was always people available to play and chat. I think if nexon opened GMS to areas, more players would be backNX will be bought. Also, I am sure when the game got lively many north american players would return to the game.
I meanwe understand nexon prohibits the IP so nexon could market Maplestory M mesos the game rights to companies natives to those regions, but from my experience, Maplestory in my state (Brazil) failed miserably simply because there were not many players around. Unless they believe the game is going to continue in the future, people will not buy Maplestory M Mesos.
I like to know that everyday I can wake up and play with the game without even gigantic surprises because of a stupid business. I am sure many men and women feel like me. Having IP ban in GMS, even in 2015, is a indicator that nexon wants to kill the game permanently. Especially for Explorer, Cygnus Knight and non-Maplestory M Demon/Xenon Resistance characters (because those are inclined to get treated by the story as members of a group, rather than a specific individual).
